Goodbye My Friends

👕 Last Chance Saloon

🧇 Wednesday Waffle Out
It is with a touch of sadness I write this, the final episode of The Wednesday Waffle Newsletter, somewhat of a relatively hastily entered into undertaking that had two simple goals:
To promote deeper and more meaningful connections amongst friends, via the sending of short one - two minute weekly videos, and;
To satiate my love for waffling via written word.
By those metrics, I feel as though I didn’t quite fulfil the brief. But more broadly speaking, I have been overwhelmed by the way people around the world, through the power of social media, have adopted the Wednesday Waffle into their lives.
“Thank you to everyone that has helped spread the word. Especially those of you that filmed a video for your friends, in the name of keeping in touch”
The feedback from the hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have told me it has had a positive impact on their lives is mind-blowing, and can only be considered a monumental success. Having been written about by major news outlets, and referenced in a host of famed podcasts, there were times it felt like we started a global movement.
Thank you to everyone that has helped spread the word. Especially those of you that filmed a video for your friends, in the name of keeping in touch.
While the newsletter is drawing to a close, the Wednesday Waffle is still very much a feature of my life. In fact, I just sent one off to my three friends and co-creators of the concept. It was an extra special week for us as one of the members introduced us to his hours-old baby in his video. It makes me hopeful this little boy will have friends like I do one day. Maybe, in twenty years time, he’ll have his own version of a Wednesday Waffle and film them from his flying car or while powering around with his jetpack. But seriously, there can be no more fitting note to end the newsletter on.
As far as what’s next, I’ve been writing a series called “Things I Wish I Knew at Twenty, Now that I’m Forty”. It was actually the reason I started a TikTok, so in a sense I’m returning to regular programming.
This forms part of a book I am hoping to soon release that is an honest and entertaining collection of stories about the wisdom I’ve acquired that, had I learned it sooner, might’ve saved me from some woe. My hope is that it might help others avoid some unnecessary suffering in their lives.
The series touches on things like ageing, parents separating, fearing death, friends, health anxiety, relationships, seeing a psychologist, OCD, autism, social anxiety, hating your job, mental exhaustion, and much more. I’d love you to continue to follow along.
The first edition will land in your inbox tomorrow and will be once weekly thereafter.

👕 Half Price Rugs (not really)
With The Wednesday Waffle Newsletter coming to an end, this is your last chance to secure some LIMITED EDITION, NEVER TO BE RELEASED AGAIN, COLLECTORS ITEM clothing.
This is like one of those rug shops that has been “closing down” for five plus years, but I’m actually being legit.
Fashun is for everyone
Thank you to everyone that has already bought a shirt or jumper. It has been a great support for me personally, helping me make a few dollars from my Wednesday Waffle toil.
More importantly, it has been great for the people that stepped out in style, with reports it made them instantly cooler (but warmer, in the case of the sweaters), more alluring, taller, better smelling, faster, more relaxed, and has even improved their love making skills (in some cases).
If you want to grab something before they’re gone, YOU CAN DO SO HERE.
(Full disclosure: I get $8 a shirt and made about $50 bucks total haha).
